Ruthenian or Ukrainian?

Historically, Ukrainians called themselves Rusyny. This name comes from the old name of their country, Rus’. Professor Kravchenko was appointed CIUS director after an international search. The new director intends to promote modernization of Ukrainian studies in the world, as well as to teach history and historiography of Eastern Europe at the University of Alberta.
