Ottawa – September 2015. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) released today the responses received from major party leaders to its election questionnaire on issues of importance to the Ukrainian Canadian community ranging from multiculturalism and historic recognition, to foreign policy questions on Canada-Ukraine relations to immigration issues.
The questionnaire for party leaders was sent out to: Right Hon. Stephen Harper, Leader of the Conservative Party of Canada; the Hon. Thomas Mulcair, Leader of the New Democratic Party of Canada; Mr. Justin Trudeau, Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada; and Ms. Elizabeth May, leader of the Green Party of Canada.

In the second phase of our election questionnaire project, the UCC sent questionnaires to the candidates from the Conservative, New Democratic, Liberal and Green parties. The UCC will be publishing the responses received from all candidates before theOctober 19 federal election to allow voters to know where the candidates in their area stand on the issues.
The UCC Board was briefed on the questionnaire responses at their meeting this weekend. The board encouraged all UCC members to find out where the local candidates stand on these important issues.
