Our reaction to it is our choice.
People keep asking me a lot of questions:
Is it normal to wish death upon (and the name of either a person, or the soldiers who obey the person)?
Is it normal to feel such hatred?
Is it normal to be so furious, so enraged?
For there are a lot of ultra-pious people who remind us that we are Christians, we should love one another, forgive, and not let evil creep into our consciousness. I believe that these are the messages from people at warm and safe places. Now here is my opinion about it. The opinion of the nun, the person of God, with higher theological education.
Can you forbid someone with an amputated leg to feel pain?
Can you tell someone with no home, family, and future, that he/she should act as a Christian and forgive their enemies?
Can you love the one who CONSCIOUSLY chooses to come and wipe off your home, your city, your country?
If you can – then it’s not about Christianity.
If your god says to turn a blind eye to evil, then we believe in different gods.
If you believe that the war, the death, the murder of civilians is God’s will – then it’s a far cry from Christianity.
Go and read the Bible.
There’s a choice for them: either to set their feet on someone else’s land and kill. Or to go against the orders and stay in their own country.
There’s no choice for us. We have to defend. Everyone has to defend himself/herself, his/her home, children, the elderly, the weak, the street, the city, the country. This means that everyone who had come to my land to kill, should not be hugged – that’s against any rules. And the one who, God forbid, faces up to those strangers, will realize in no time that the enemies on your land are by no means to be loved.
That defence means destroying the evil on the threshold of your house. For they aren’t human beings anymore – they are the evil in human bodies.
Since the commencement of the full-scale war, I’ve been writing furious posts and won’t stop it. For us not to experience the guilt of being overpowered with so much anger. Because anger means that we will defend our land.
You should experience anger the right way. You should tell God about your anger, let Him govern it:
Psalm 7:6* “Arise, Lord, in your anger; rise up against the rage of my enemies”.
Psalm 56:7 “Because of their wickedness do not let them escape; in your anger, God, bring the nations down”.
Psalm 69:24 “Pour out your wrath on them; let your fierce anger overtake them”.
And we’ll talk about forgiveness after the war ends.
